Collectively We Have the Greatest Impact

Change is in the air, the trees are in transition, and individuals and families are starting to plan for the coming snow.  At United Way of Steele County, we understand that this planning looks different from household to household and for some the increased need for safety and security can be daunting.  It is our purpose to ensure that every person in Steele County has access to the Health, Education, and Financial Stability programming they need to achieve a good quality of life.  There is no one program that can achieve this, which is why United Way supports over 40 different programs and services in Steele County.

Having food on your table isn’t as impactful if you are missing the roof over your head.  Being hired into a great paying job with future opportunities for growth isn’t accessible if you can’t find or afford childcare or transportation.  Years of hard work trying to make ends meet are quickly erased with one medical emergency when you don’t have access to health insurance.  All these programs and safety-net services, go hand in hand.  One without the other, simply gets one by until the next need arises, but together, these programs and services have the power to lift people from poverty and transition them into a better quality of life.

That is what we do at United Way.  We change lives by mobilizing and optimizing the caring power of our community and collectively we have the greatest impact for the people of our community.  Will you join us in making a difference in the lives of your neighbors?  If you answered yes, text UWSC2021 to 269-89 and together we will Recover, Reimagine, and Rebuild our community.  Give, Advocate, Volunteer…this is how we LIVE UNITED.
